Tabythia

In May 2008, Tabythia's family noticed a small freckle on her iris appeared to be growing. After bringing it to her eye doctor's attention, she was soon diagnosed with melanoma. Fortunately, the cancer had not spread.However, since this is such a rare disorder in the eye, she has required frequent trips to specialized eye surgeons in Philadelphia and very close follow-up. She has had multiple eye surgeries and continues to battle increasing eye pressure. Tabythia's strength, resilience and positive attitude continually amaze her family.

The B.A.B.Y. Foundation helped us with significant medical bills around Christmas time. We were so grateful because it reduced our financial stress during the holiday season. We know we will get through all of this because our family, friends, and The B.A.B.Y. Foundation will be there for us.
