Erik

Erik was born in February 2009 after an emergency c-section where he sustained brain damage. Soon after birth he was found to have a heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. He has already had three corrective heart procedures and has more on the horizon. Because Erik's heart has been working so hard to pump blood, his body doesn't have much energy to help him grow. He is on a very high fat diet with special formula to increase his caloric intake. His cardiologists, neurologist, geneticists, pediatrician and family are all amazed by his progress. He is truly a miracle baby!
